- Fees to state re: non-profit – $60
- OSAA – explore turning tournament over to OSAA – lose control, get support for coaching, collecting fees – general feeling of we are not large enough to warrant it (only 12 schools, makes more sense when you have 300)
- Elections
- Treasurer – Jeff Dobbins in absentia
- President
- Secretary
- Bylaws – non-OSAA schools binned per enrollment, MS play as JV on own – Jeff drafting language, no additional changes recommended
- State tournaments – OHSCTA – main HS team and active HS players (36 – 50% of the NWSRS active players vs 14 at OSCF 2016), CFS – elementary/middle but unrated, OSCF – Barber, Denker, rated
- Pattern of players – Jeff
- Website – need to have new website (old platform, only , proposal to put OHSCTA pages on OSCF site, ? offer kids $100 vs. us just moving existing OHSCTA content without adult having to supervise/oversee kids. Potential to rework/combine sections of website like Chess Resources. Strong feeling that OSCF website is accessible to players, would be a good strategy. On-the-fly Jeff mocked up pages, putting existing OHSCTA content onto new OSCF pages, section on left bar for navigation to those pages.
- Ed – when do we add in younger kids, so few varsity teams,
- Next year’s tournament – Roseburg High School, date TBD
- Portland – Ed Addis
